Madinet Masr Empowers Young Entrepreneurs with Orange Corners Egypt Graduation 2024
Madinet Masr (EGX: MASR.CA), one of Egypt’s leading urban community developers, celebrated the graduation of the 2024 cohort of Orange Corners Egypt, a program by the Kingdom of the Netherlands that supports youth-led startups and SMEs
The 2024 edition trained and mentored over 130 entrepreneurs, including 100 startups in the Delta region and 30 from Upper Egypt, covering diverse sectors such as agriculture, creative industries, waste management, and climate-smart solutions
Madinet Masr partnered with the program for the second consecutive year, providing funding, mentorship, and sustainability-focused workshops as part of its CSR strategy “Cultivating Communities”
H.E. Peter Mollema, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Egypt, praised the program’s impact on youth and women entrepreneurs, highlighting its role in promoting gender equality and advancing Egypt Vision 2030
Since its launch in 2021, Orange Corners Egypt has supported hundreds of startups, with women representing over 50% of participants. Each business is expected to create up to five jobs, contributing to more than 3,000 job opportunities across all cohorts
