Central Bank Governor Attends Graduation Ceremony for “Future Leaders” Program at the Egyptian Banking Institute

Cairo, Egypt — The Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and Chairman of the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI), Hassan Abdalla, attended the graduation ceremony of four new batches of the “Future Leaders” program, one of the institute’s flagship initiatives to empower young banking professionals.

The ceremony was also attended by Rami Aboul Naga, Deputy Governor for Monetary Stability, Tarek El Khouly, Deputy Governor for Banking Stability, and Dr. Abdel Aziz Nossier, EBI Executive Director, along with senior banking officials and HR executives from Egyptian banks.

Abdalla expressed his pride in celebrating new graduates of this distinguished program, which has been running for over 30 years to develop future leaders in the banking sector. He emphasized that human capital development remains a top priority for the Central Bank as the foundation of a strong and innovative financial system.

He also highlighted the launch of the Banking Science Bachelor’s Program — the first of its kind in Egypt — to be implemented across several universities starting in the academic year 2025/2026.

Dr. Nossier reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to continuous development of the “Future Leaders” program by integrating the latest training tools, evaluation systems, and practical learning modules in leadership, banking sciences, and fintech. The program also includes international field visits to top financial institutions.

The ceremony marked the graduation of batches 32, 33, 34, and 35, comprising 93 young leaders from Egyptian banks who successfully completed the intensive training designed to prepare the next generation of banking executives.

Established in 1991 by the Central Bank of Egypt, the Egyptian Banking Institute serves as the CBE’s official training arm, dedicated to enhancing professional excellence, promoting financial awareness, and positioning Egypt as a regional hub for banking knowledge and leadership.
