Egyptian Swiss Group Strengthens Education–Industry Link at Ain Shams Agriculture Job Fair 2026
The Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, and Concentrates participated in the 2026 Annual Job Fair organized by the Faculty of Agriculture at Ain Shams University, held on February 15–16, reinforcing its commitment to bridging the gap between academic education and labor market demands
The event was held under the patronage of Professor Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Professor Walaa Mohamed Abdel Ghany, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, with wide participation from leading companies operating in Egypt’s agricultural and food industries sectors.
Professor Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen praised the Egyptian Swiss Group’s participation, emphasizing that collaboration with major industrial players is a cornerstone of a successful higher education system. He noted that aligning academic programs with market requirements remains a top priority for the university to ensure graduates are equipped to meet the evolving needs of modern production sectors
He added that the annual job fair serves as a strategic platform to strengthen partnerships with the private sector, providing students with tangible training and employment pathways while supporting Egypt’s sustainable development objectives
Professor Walaa Mohamed Abdel Ghany, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, stated that the fair facilitates direct engagement between students, graduates, and leading employers. He highlighted the faculty’s continuous efforts to update curricula and training programs in line with labor market dynamics, enhancing students’ practical readiness upon graduation
Engineer Ahmed Sebaie, General Manager of the Egyptian Swiss Group, affirmed that the company’s participation reflects its corporate social responsibility and long-term commitment to developing young professionals. He stressed that investing in human capital represents a central pillar of the group’s growth strategy
The group offers hands-on training programs within its factories and specialized laboratories, providing students with real-world operational experience. In addition, employment opportunities are available in quality control and production functions across its pasta, flour, and sauce divisions
Sameh Afifi, Director of Development and Human Resources at the Egyptian Swiss Group, explained that the company follows a structured strategy aimed at building a sustainable pipeline of qualified young professionals for Egypt’s food manufacturing sector
Afifi noted that the group prioritizes direct engagement with students and graduates to better understand their career aspirations and clarify potential career paths within the organization. The Human Resources department designs integrated professional development programs conducted inside factories and laboratories, focusing on technical expertise, behavioral competencies, quality culture, occupational safety, and institutional discipline
Afifi concluded by underscoring the group’s focus on preparing future leaders from within through continuous assessment and development programs.
