As part of its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, Valley Water, producer of ELANO bottled water, has reaffirmed its long-standing partnership with Gannat Al-Khuloud Charity Association, supporting a wide range of educational, social, and economic empowerment initiatives that benefit children, women, and underserved families

The partnership, which has extended for more than five years, coincides with the association’s celebration of its 20th anniversary and reflects a shared commitment to creating sustainable social impact and improving the quality of life within vulnerable communities

Through ELANO, Valley Water has contributed to supporting educational and childcare programs, nursery classes, tutoring groups, awareness campaigns, and vocational training initiatives. The company has also backed handicraft and manual production activities that help women and girls acquire practical skills, enhance financial independence, and access better employment opportunities

Maha Abu Saa, Head of Corporate Communications, Sustainability, and Social Responsibility at Valley Water, described ELANO as a development partner to Gannat Al-Khuloud Charity Association, highlighting the strong relationship built over years of collaboration aimed at supporting impactful community initiatives

She emphasized that the company’s support extends beyond charitable contributions to include sustainable development programs that create lasting benefits for beneficiaries. These initiatives include educational support, awareness activities, and vocational training programs in printing, embroidery, and other handicrafts that enable women and girls to become productive contributors to their communities

Abu Saa noted that Valley Water is proud to be part of the association’s journey in empowering children, women, and youth, while supporting its transition toward manufacturing and exporting handmade products and carpets. She added that investment in education, skills development, and economic empowerment remains one of the most effective tools for driving sustainable community development

She further explained that ELANO continues to support initiatives that provide children with better educational and care opportunities, help families improve their living standards, and empower women to move from dependency to productivity, transforming corporate social responsibility into measurable impact on the ground

For her part, Dr. Zainab Alloub, Founder and Chairperson of Gannat Al-Khuloud Charity Association, said the organization has successfully built a comprehensive development model over the past two decades, serving thousands of beneficiaries across Duweiqa and Asmarat through integrated programs focused on education, healthcare, nutrition, and economic empowerment

She highlighted the association’s continued efforts to support children, women, and youth through nurseries, literacy classes, school reintegration programs, and vocational training initiatives in handicrafts and manual industries

According to Alloub, the association’s development journey has included several significant milestones, beginning with the launch of the “New Human” economic empowerment program in 2017, followed by the “Dream” project in cooperation with Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development in 2019

She also pointed to the partnership with the Industrial Modernization Center, which contributed to improving production efficiency and expanding vocational training programs. This was followed by the establishment of “Gannati Manufacturing” in 2021 and the expansion of training facilities, nurseries, and retail outlets for handmade products

In 2026, the association launched a new technology center in Asmarat aimed at equipping young people with digital skills and supporting their integration into the evolving labor market

Dr. Nihal Abu Gazya, Vice Chairperson of the association and General Supervisor of its nurseries, explained that the organization’s vision is centered on investing in early childhood development by fostering children's cognitive, behavioral, and emotional growth from an early age

She revealed that more than 3,000 children have graduated from the association’s kindergarten programs over the past 20 years

Meanwhile, Dr. Nabila Makram, Head of the Technical Secretariat of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, stressed the growing importance of civil society organizations as strategic partners in supporting national development efforts and improving living conditions for underserved communities

She emphasized that closer collaboration between civil society institutions and the private sector is essential to achieving sustainable development goals and maximizing social impact
