Kitchen Equipment Factory (KEF), a subsidiary of Garrana Group, is participating in the Egyptian Pavilion at the Benghazi Home & Hospitality Show 2026, held in Benghazi, Libya, from June 15 to 18. The participation forms part of the company’s strategy to expand its regional presence and increase exports across key Arab markets
During the exhibition, KEF is presenting its latest range of industrial kitchen equipment and integrated solutions designed for hotels, restaurants, hospitals, catering facilities, and large-scale hospitality projects
Engineer Hanaa Garrana, Chairwoman of Kitchen Equipment Factory, stated that the company’s participation reflects its commitment to strengthening the position of Egyptian manufacturing in Libya and creating new export opportunities for locally produced equipment serving the hospitality, foodservice, infrastructure, and service sectors
She explained that demand for specialized operational equipment is steadily increasing across Libya, particularly within hotels, hospitals, restaurants, oil and gas companies, and major institutions. This growth presents significant opportunities for Egyptian manufacturers capable of delivering high-quality products supported by reliable installation, maintenance, and after-sales services
Garrana noted that KEF aims to showcase its manufacturing expertise and diverse product portfolio to customers, importers, and decision-makers from Libya’s hospitality, tourism, and service industries. She emphasized that the Libyan market remains one of the company’s most promising export destinations due to its ongoing development projects and growing need for industrial kitchen and hospitality equipment
According to Garrana, participation within the Egyptian Pavilion provides a valuable platform for direct engagement with potential clients, enabling the company to better understand market requirements and explore partnerships with local and regional stakeholders. These efforts align with KEF’s broader objective of expanding its footprint across Arab and African markets
She also highlighted the competitive advantage Egyptian manufacturers enjoy in Libya due to geographical proximity, which allows for faster delivery times, efficient customer support, easier maintenance services, and reliable spare parts availability compared to suppliers operating from more distant markets
Since transitioning to local manufacturing in 2019, KEF has expanded its portfolio to include more than 400 locally manufactured products serving industrial kitchens, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, bakeries, pastry shops, tourist resorts, cruise vessels, and sports clubs
The company provides end-to-end solutions beginning with operational planning and kitchen design, followed by equipment selection, supply, installation, and commissioning. This integrated approach helps clients establish efficient foodservice operations while maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and quality
KEF’s product portfolio includes a wide range of electric and gas-powered cooking equipment, such as cookers, fryers, boiling and pressure kettles, hot plates, bain-maries, grills, and steam boilers. The company also offers refrigeration systems including upright and horizontal refrigerators, display chillers, cold rooms, and freezer rooms designed for commercial food storage applications
In addition, KEF manufactures stainless-steel neutral equipment, including worktables, sinks, shelving systems, racks, and counters tailored to the requirements of industrial kitchens and service facilities. The company further supplies kitchenware, tableware, hotel supplies, bakery equipment, pastry production solutions, and hospitality products for resorts and cruise ships
Concluding her remarks, Garrana reaffirmed KEF’s confidence in the competitiveness of Egyptian-made products and emphasized the company’s commitment to expanding local manufacturing capabilities, enhancing product innovation, and supporting the growth of Egyptian exports across regional and international markets
